The challenge

New Dutch legislation bans disposable cups. A tremendous opportunity for sustainable innovation — but how do you ensure reusable cups are automatically washed and counted? TakeAbles had no technical solution, but did have a hard deadline: operational within 2 months. That's why they brought in Stekz.

Our solution

Stekz developed a multi-tenant SaaS platform that seamlessly connects scanner software, portals and integrations. The platform communicates with:

Conveyor belts and existing back-office software
The industrial washing machines themselves
Drivers and brokers who collect and deliver cups

The system acts as an invisible conductor connecting all links in the chain. Thanks to intelligent automation, the platform even detects and removes damaged cups automatically from the flow.
